In Douala's humidity, most people use too much beard oil. The beard shines, collects dust, and the skin under it breaks out.
Three drops is enough for a short beard, five for a full one. Warm them between your palms and work them in from the neck up.
Put the oil on after a shower, when the skin is clean and the pores are open. Skip it on the hottest afternoons.
If your skin itches under the beard, ask your barber for a lighter oil. Argan and jojoba absorb faster than castor oil.
