How to keep a fade sharp for two weeks

Sleep on a satin pillowcase, brush in one direction, and book your line-up before the edges soften.

A fade looks its best for about ten days. After that the short sides grow out faster than the top, and the blend starts to show.

At night

Sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase. Cotton pulls at short hair and roughs up the line where the fade meets the top.

Every morning

Brush the top in one direction, morning and night, with a soft brush. It keeps the shape the barber cut into it.

In the second week

Book a line-up at the start of the second week. It takes fifteen minutes and costs far less than a full cut, and it keeps the edges sharp until your next appointment.
